Akinyemi Osinubi is a finance and investment professional with over 24 years of experience working in the USA, Nigeria and across Africa. His finance expertise spans strategic financial management, corporate development, commercial evaluations, M&A, project economics for corporate development, financial advisory mandates as well as for private equity investments.
Akinyemi began his career as a Financial Analyst with Aquila Energy Capital in Houston where he worked on financing the development of onshore and offshore oil & gas E & P projects. He has occupied various positions such as Manager, Group Finance, Strategy & Risk Management with Oando PLC where he oversaw the evaluation of Oando’s investment with various oil and gas fields; Vice President, Oil & Gas with African Capital Alliance/CAPE where he financed the acquisition of a Floating Production Storage Offloading vessel, the FPSO Jamestown, and the development of an LPG Terminal; Senior Investment Officer with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) focusing on Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) for Infrastructure Projects where he worked on several power generation, LPG and Natural Gas infrastructure projects.
He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) with a B.Sc. (Honours) in Biochemistry (University of Lagos), an MBA in Finance & Information Systems (University of Houston), a certificate in Private Equity from the London Business School and a certificate in PPP Infrastructure Delivery from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. He is also a member of the CFA Institute (USA), a former board member of the CFA Societies of Nigeria and a member of the Executive Committee of the Energy Institute Nigeria where he also served as the Honorary Secretary.
