James Okeati has over 20 years of cross-functional experience spanning Operations, Budgetary, Risk Management & Compliance, Internal & External Audit, Internal Control, Forensic Investigation, Taxation, Business Development, Business Advisory, Treasury Management, Investment Analysis, Project Management, Change Management, Business Process Re-engineering, International Financial Reporting. 

James’ experience cuts across several sectors including Oil & Gas, Banking, Consulting and Advisory Services. He has participated and led teams in migration and implementation of various Finance and Risk Management frameworks, with special focus on implementation of International Financial Reporting Standard, 2017 COSO framework – ERM integrating with strategy and performance, ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ISO 45001:2018- Occupational Health & safety Management System. ISO 22301:2019 Business Continuity Management System, ISO 31000: 2018 Risk Management System, amongst others. 

His previous work experiences include Audit Manager at S. S. Afemikhe & Co. (Chartered Accountants); Regional Auditor, Zenith Bank Plc.; Senior Manager, Risk Management & Compliance, Nestoil Group. 

James holds a Higher National Diploma in Accountancy from Auchi Polytechnic and a Master’s in Business Administration from University of St. Mark & St. John, Plymouth, UK. 

He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), a Fellow of The Global Academy of Finance & Management, USA; a Fellow of The Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria; an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria; a Certified Operational Risk Manager and a Certified Risk Analyst.
